Year 7 & 8 Footy Match
It was certainly footy fever time at MAG on the last day of Term 3. In the spirit of the season of footy finals, our Year 7 & 8s held their own footy final at Jack Eddy Oval.
It was an ‘all in’ affair, with teams of students set up to participate by providing coaching, running water, entertainment, cooking the BBQ, working in First Aid, keeping score, umpiring, cheering, and of course, playing the game.
Our rival teams consisted of both girls and boys. Maelle Lyle performed the National Anthem, accompanied by the strong voices of our cohort. Our budding young umpires made sure we were playing by the rules. Our coaches fired up the players with some inspirational halftime speeches. The sausages in bread had plenty of tomato sauce, and there was plenty of cheering from the sidelines.
A big thanks to Mr Darcy Hall for preparing for the day and for getting everyone involved!
Exploring Innovation in Agriculture
Our Year 10 and 11 Agriculture and Primary Industries students attended the 62nd Elmore Machinery Field Days this week, exploring the latest in satellite, electronic identification, computer, robotic and biotechnology innovations shaping the future of farming.
This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to see modern agricultural technologies in action and connect classroom learning with real-world industry advancements.

Celebrating the HSC Class of 2025 🎓 – A Week to Remember
In the final week of Term 3, our School community came together to celebrate the HSC Class of 2025. It was a week filled with reflection, gratitude and celebration, as our Year 12 students enjoyed their last days at school before commencing their final HSC examinations.
The celebrations began on Monday with the Year 12 Breakfast at the Moama Recreation Pavilion — a joyful morning of music, student performances, and connection. Students shared breakfast with their teachers, friends and families, and listened to an inspiring interview with one of our Alumni Anna Walsh. It was a meaningful way to mark the beginning of their final week and to create lasting memories as a cohort.
On Thursday, the Valedictory Assembly recognised the academic achievements and leadership of our graduating students. Special awards were presented in partnership with our generous community sponsors, and School Captains Emma Mitchell and Michael Williams delivered heartfelt reflections, encouraging their peers to embrace the future with confidence and purpose. That evening, students hosted an Evening of Thanks, where they prepared and served food for staff as a gesture of appreciation for the guidance and support shown throughout their journey.
The week concluded with Muck-Up Day on Friday morning — filled with laughter and light-hearted fun — followed by the Valedictory Dinner at Moama Bowling Club. The evening brought the entire community together in celebration, highlighted by Zeenat Ishola’s inspiring valedictory address.
We extend our thanks to Stage 6 Coordinator Ms Renee Aquino, along with all staff and families, for their dedication in supporting the Year 12 cohort throughout their HSC journey.
Congratulations to the HSC Class of 2025 — we are so proud of you and wish you every success in your upcoming examinations and the exciting paths ahead.
