School Captains

On Monday the 16th, we had the privilege of running our very first whole school assembly as School Captains. Standing up in front of the entire school was such an exciting moment, but we would be lying if we said we weren’t a little bit nervous! Speaking to such a big crowd for the first time definitely pushed us outside our comfort zones.

It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate our very first Shining Star recipients for the year. We also really enjoyed reading out student birthdays and helping to make those students feel recognised and celebrated. Moments like these remind us how special our school community is.

We are really looking forward to helping run assemblies throughout the year and continuing to grow in confidence each time we step up to the microphone. We’re also excited to work closely together as School Captains to write our speeches and make each assembly engaging and meaningful.

It feels incredibly special to help lead our school and to play such an active role in running assemblies. We can’t wait for what the rest of the year will bring!
