Changes to Student Reporting
Earlier this year, DET provided information for schools around State-wide changes to Student Reporting in 2027. We have been working behind the scenes in recent months to prepare for these changes. Francis and I shared our revised Progressive Reporting model with School Council at our recent meeting. We will provide an update to the community later this week.
Netbook Breakages
We have experienced an unusually high number of damaged netbooks in recent weeks. Unfortunately, this has meant having to invoice families for repairs. Please remind your child/ren about their responsibility to care for their netbook. Using the protective case when in transit, not leaving netbooks on the floor and handling devices carefully are all useful reminders for students.
World Teachers Day
As Francis has mentioned in his section of the newsletter today, last Friday was World Teachers' Day. Francis and I are extremely fortunate to work alongside such a committed and hardworking teaching team. Our teachers at SGPS consistently go above and beyond for their students, demonstrating genuine care, dedication and passion in everything they do. Thank you to all of our teachers for the wonderful work you do!
