Welcome Back to Term 3,

I hope all of our students and families enjoyed a restful and enjoyable holiday break. It has been wonderful to see our classrooms full of energy and enthusiasm as students return ready to learn. Term 3 is always a busy and exciting term, with many opportunities for students to challenge themselves, celebrate success and continue building on the excellent learning that has taken place throughout the year.

I am delighted to share that our 2026 NAPLAN results have been extremely pleasing. The results reflect the collective efforts of our students, staff and families and demonstrate the positive impact of the high-quality teaching and learning taking place across the College. While we continue to analyse the data to identify areas for ongoing growth, we are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved.

Individual NAPLAN reports will be sent home with students this week for families to review. I would also like to congratulate the students who recently received High Growth Certificates in recognition of their outstanding improvement. These awards acknowledge the commitment, perseverance and hard work these students have shown in their learning and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.

One of the greatest contributors to student success is consistent school attendance. Every day of learning matters, and arriving at school on time ensures students begin their day positively, participate in morning routines and maximise every learning opportunity. We appreciate the ongoing support of our families in helping students establish strong routines by arriving at school ready to learn each day.

This Friday, 24th July, our Foundation to Year 6 Athletics Carnival will be held. These days are always a wonderful celebration of participation, perseverance and school spirit. We look forward to seeing many of our parents and families there to cheer on our students and help make the day a memorable one for everyone involved.

Thank you to the many families who have already registered their children for the ICAS Assessments. ICAS provides students with an excellent opportunity to extend themselves and showcase their skills across a range of curriculum areas. A reminder that registrations and payments close next Monday, 27th July, with ICAS testing commencing from Monday 3rd August. If your child wishes to participate and you have not yet completed the registration process, please ensure this is finalised before the closing date.

Looking ahead, our Subject Teacher Conversations will be held on Monday 24th August. These conversations provide an important opportunity for parents, students and teachers to discuss learning progress, celebrate achievements and set goals for the remainder of the year. Booking information will be distributed to families shortly.
