Food Tech

Year 10 Food Studies
Our Year 10 Food Studies students have been busy in the kitchen cooking up a storm this term, developing their practical cooking skills and confidence through a range of delicious dishes.
Students recently prepared crispy chicken burgers served with fresh homemade slaw and loaded fries, with plenty of taste testing and teamwork along the way! The kitchen was full of energy, laughter and creativity as students worked together to prepare and present their meals.
These practical classes allow students to build important life skills including food preparation, kitchen safety, time management and teamwork, while also encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones and try new foods and techniques.
A special thank you to Mrs Saracino, Noni and the other staff members who continue to support and guide our students in the kitchen. Their patience, encouragement and knowledge are helping students develop valuable cooking and life skills that will support them well into adulthood and become more confident and efficient cooks in the future.
Well done to all students for their enthusiasm and effort in the kitchen!
