REMINDER: Youth myki Cards Required
Young people under 18 can travel for free on Victorian public transport with a Youth myki. Buy at staffed stations, or register online by creating or logging into a myki account
Â
Public transport operators are no longer accepting alternative arrangements, so itâs important that all students have their own Youth myki ready to use when travelling on buses or trains.Â
Â
A Youth myki allows students to tap on and off for each journey and ensures they are travelling in line with current transport requirements, while also accessing concession fares. Â If you're using a regional non-myki bus, show your Youth myki when you board.Â
Â
A Youth myki card costs $5 to purchase.
Â
Where to buy
- At a staffed train station that sells Youth myki.
- At a selected retailer that sells Youth myki.
- Register for a Youth myki by logging in or creating a myki account. Registered Youth mykis are replaced for free if they're lost, stolen, defective or expired.
Â
Youth myki expiry
Your Youth myki expiry date depends on how you bought the card.
| Purchase method | Expiry date |
|---|---|
| In-person at a train station | Four years from the date of purchase. If you register this myki, the card will show a $1 credit. You do not need to add money to the card. |
| Online | Your 18th birthday. Eighteen-year-olds should get a Child myki, which gives your fifty percent off public transport fares. |
Parents can use their own myki account to register and manage their childâs Youth myki.
Â
If you have any questions or need support organising a Youth myki card, please contact the college 5155 2982.Â
