Year 12 Final Day Celebrations and Senior School House Competition
We were blessed with great weather for our traditional Year 12 Final Day celebrations on Tuesday 22 October. The day commenced with a concert where we witnessed great performances by the Year 12 cohort and our Senior School teachers during the Year 12 concert, that was also attended by our Junior School students. There was a great carnival atmosphere with the rides situated close to the Stadium. The House competitions in Basketball, Table Tennis and Soccer ran throughout the day with the Year 11 versus Year 12 Basketball game completing a fun-filled day.
The Year 7-9 students started the day outside with the Soccer competition and allocated time on the rides, while the Year 10-12 students played Basketball and Table Tennis inside. After a short lunch break, the groups swapped over before gathering to watch the Year 11 versus Year 12 Basketball match, this year won by the Year 12s!
The competition between the Houses was close with only 27 points difference between first and second spot. The Basketball and Soccer were won by Zion Crusaders (Blue House) and Tabor Trojans (White House) just managed to steal the win from Blue House in the Table Tennis. Although the scores were very close throughout the day, it was Blue House that came out on top at the end of the day. Congratulations to Blue House!

Congratulations to all students who competed for their House and for your outstanding behaviour throughout the day. A big thank you to all the staff and students who assisted with scoring, umpiring and other jobs throughout the day. The combined efforts of everyone made this a most enjoyable and successful day. Lastly, I wish all the Year 12 students God’s blessings as they undertake their examinations in the coming weeks.
Amazing Achievement at Nationals
Congratulations to Lily H (8.8) and her 14.1 Cobras Representative Basketball team who recently won the 2024 National Club Championships. The tournament is held every year during the September school holidays and the top 25 clubs from around the country are invited to participate. After becoming premiers in the VJBL Victorian Championship competition the week before, the Kilsyth girls were able to continue their winning streak by winning all eight National games, making them the top U/14 girls’ team in Australia for 2024.
