Junior School
As I write this article, the sounds of our Year 12 students celebrating their final day of school echo through our campus. As a mother of a Year 12 student, I am filled with reflection today – it seems like mere moments ago that he was in Prep, taking those first tentative steps into his education journey. Watching these milestones, I am reminded how quickly time passes in the whirlwind of daily routines – the morning rushes with filling lunchboxes and preparing uniforms, homework supervision, and endless school activities. I encourage you to pause amidst the beautiful chaos of raising school-aged children. Take a moment to truly see them, to cherish these precious days that feel long but pass so quickly. As Psalm 127:3 reminds us,
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.
In all the busyness of school life, let’s remember to treasure these gifts we have been entrusted with and invest deeply in their lives, for these days shape not just their futures, but our most cherished memories.
Term 4 Bursts Into Life
The Junior School has burst into life for the final term with an incredible array of enriching activities alongside our daily learning program. Our calendar has been filled with diverse experiences including vital e-safety education sessions, students representing us proudly at District Athletics, and the delightful musical showcase at our Soirée performances. Our Year 5 students have embarked on their leadership journey, exploring the foundations of Christian Leadership and putting their emerging skills into practice during a team-building adventure at Treetops. Meanwhile, our youngest learners from Prep to Year 2 strengthened their water confidence and safety awareness during an intensive week-long swimming program at Kingswim. Year 1 and 2 students then stepped back in time during their fascinating excursion to Mont De Lancey. All these special events have complemented the wonderful learning achievements happening within our classrooms across every year level. The vibrant energy and enthusiasm of our Junior School community continues to amaze us each day!
Junior School Student Forum’s Market Day
The Junior School Market Day on Wednesday 15 October transformed Learning Street into a vibrant hub of youthful innovation and generosity. Our students embraced the challenge of planning and executing a wide variety of stalls, united in their mission to support Amari. The air buzzed with excitement as young entrepreneurs manned food booths offering an array of tempting treats, from freshly baked goods to creative drink concoctions like spiders, soft drinks, and bubble tea. Nearby, craft stalls displayed an impressive collection of handmade items, showcasing our students’ artistic flair. This successful event was a testament to the Junior School Student Forum’s vision and tireless efforts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs Kirby-Beach and Mrs McDonald, whose mentorship was crucial in bringing this initiative to fruition. Their support ensured a seamless event that will have a lasting impact on both our school community and Amari’s beneficiaries. We are delighted to announce that our students’ hard work raised a total of $3,960.80.

As we journey through this final term of the school year, we encourage our students to maintain their enthusiasm and dedication to learning. While the excitement of summer holidays beckons, there are still many wonderful opportunities for growth, discovery, and achievement ahead. As Colossians 3:23 reminds us,
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Let’s support our children in finishing the year strong, celebrating their efforts and achievements while maintaining focus on their learning goals. Together, we can help them complete this chapter of their educational journey with the same energy and determination they showed at its beginning.
For You are great and do marvellous deeds; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, LORD, that I may rely on Your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name. I will praise You, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify Your name forever. Psalm 86:10-12
