On Monday, 15 September, we enjoyed our annual WORSHIP TOGETHER event where the auditorium took on a new "In-the -round" format with 250 people surrounding a candle-lit CROSS. We invited worship leaders from around the city to tell the challenging yet beautiful stories and how specific songs of worship and devotion lifted, redirected and healed them along their journey.
It was a powerful demonstration of how we come to Him and offer Him our all (our fears, triumphs and past) and He leaves us fuller, cleaner and stronger than before we began.
Our King's Worship Academy students (from the King's College and from churches around Perth) helped host the night.
A special moment came when we were able to see the impact Worship is having on the lives of young people in Cambodia. TRANSFORM CAMBODIA is a wonderful organisation that educates and equips the next generation of Cambodian children to learn about God and change their nation for His glory. We were so privileged to be able to sow into this vital work.
The night ended with a bountiful supper as fellowship between many teams and families ensued. Special thanks go out to our guests, Ned Davies, Fiona Jones, Chris Nafie, Jade Higgins, Paul Kennedy, and Mark and Andrea Patterson. See you next year at WORSHIP TOGETHER.
This year, The King's College had the joy of celebrating and honouring our dads through two special Father's Day services held on Thursday 4 September and Friday 5 September.
Our theme, "Brave and Beautiful", was a heartfelt tribute to the way fathers inspire us with their courage and the beautiful impact they have on their families. Through worship, reflections, and student presentations, the services highlighted the vital role fathers play in guiding, encouraging, and supporting their children.
Following each service, dads were invited to enjoy free coffees and refreshments in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was wonderful to see families connect and share this special moment together.
As a token of appreciation, every dad also received a small gift—our way of saying thank you for the incredible role they play in shaping and blessing the lives of their children.
The services were a meaningful opportunity for our community to express gratitude, celebrate fatherhood, and remind our dads just how valued they are.
