Principal's Message

Mr Daniel O'Malley | Interim Principal

As Term 3 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students and the community that supports them. This term has had so many opportunities for students to shine across a wide range of events, and it has been truly encouraging to witness their growth in confidence, skill and character.

We saw incredible talent and dedication on display at YohFest and our annual Arts and Technology Showcase, where students expressed their creativity through Drama, Music, Dance, Digital Technology, Woodwork, Textiles, Media and Visual arts. We are especially proud that several of our teams have reached the YohFest finals—an outstanding achievement that reflects not only talent but also hard work and perseverance.

Our younger students brought joy and energy to the stage during Jump Jam, and parents who attended the Primary Learning Journey were able to witness first-hand the depth of engagement and learning taking place in classrooms every day. These events were wonderful reminders of the powerful partnership between home and school in supporting student success.

Service has remained at the heart of our College. Through Service Learning Days and participation in the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, our students embraced opportunities to serve others. We also held EXO Day this term, a powerful and meaningful experience focused on helping Secondary students engage more deeply with God and grow in their personal faith journey.

This term, we also celebrated student effort and perseverance during the Primary Assembly Merit Awards and the Secondary Honours Assembly. In both events, it was clear that a growth mindset is alive and well in our student body. Those who were recognised have demonstrated that consistent effort, resilience and a willingness to learn from challenges lead to meaningful success. We commend them for their example.

Our Term 3 theme, Courage, has been an important focus throughout the term. Whether it was trying something new, speaking in public for the first time, or pushing through a difficult learning task, students have shown great courage in many ways. It's been a joy to watch them grow in confidence and character.

Term 4 Theme | Honour

As we look ahead to Term 4, we begin to turn our attention to a new theme – one that builds on the courage shown this term. It will be a time to reflect on what it means to honour – honour God, our families, and our wider community – through our actions, our words, and the way we live each day.

Thank you for your continued support. Wishing all our families a safe and refreshing break.

Warm regards,

Daniel O'Malley
