Our Primary Learning Journey was a beautiful celebration of the hard work and creativity of our students and teachers this year. Thank you to our TKC families for coming out and enjoying the evening with us, as well as your support of our Year 11 Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser. We were blessed to see our wonderful community spending time together, while the children played into the evening. You are the heartbeat of our school, and we are grateful to Journey with you.

On Friday, 5 September, the Pre-Kindy children enjoyed a special “Donuts with Dad’’ event! This also included Grandads and a wonderful Mum (stepping in for Dad). The children enjoyed some fun activities with their parent, as well as sharing in some yummy treats (mainly donuts!). It was a lovely afternoon celebrating together!

On 16 September, Newton students attended the It Takes a Spark! STEM Conference.
This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge and engage in new learning experiences.
The day featured two inspiring keynote speakers: Professor Chandra Salgado Kent (Ocean Blueprint Founder and Marine Scientist) and Dr Adelle Goodwin (Astrophysicist). Both speakers shared their research and passion, covering topics such as whale migration, marine communication, dolphin signature calls, the effects of pollution on ecosystems, endangered species, black holes and advanced telescopes, including the world’s largest radio telescope being erected right here in Western Australia.
Students also participated in a variety of engaging activities, including the STEAM Expo hands-on experiences, coding challenges and workshops. Workshops covered topics such as Discovering the Secrets of Light, Designing Digital Solutions to Support Elderly Exercise and exploring artificial intelligence through the question: Are We Leading the AI Revolution, or Is It Leading Us?
The conference was a wonderful opportunity for our students to extend their learning, collaborate with peers from other schools and be inspired by leaders in STEM fields.

This term, our primary students proudly took part in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). The AMC is one of the world’s largest school-based competitions, designed to challenge students with problem-solving and logical reasoning tasks.
We are very proud of all the students who participated and represented The King’s College with enthusiasm and commitment.
Special congratulations go to the following students for their outstanding results:
These awards are a wonderful reflection of our students’ hard work, persistence, and willingness to take on a challenge. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements.
Congratulations once again to all our young mathematicians!

The King’s College Primary Athletics Carnival was a huge success, with students giving their all in every race and event. The competition between our four Houses brought plenty of excitement and school spirit throughout the day. A big thank you goes to all the staff for their outstanding organisation and support, as well as the many parents who came along to cheer and create such a wonderful atmosphere. Final House results and medal presentations will be announced at our next assembly – we can’t wait to celebrate our champions together!

We’ve had a fantastic Term 3, filled with learning, fun and plenty of achievements to celebrate. Today was the perfect way to wrap it all up, with everyone proudly showing off their footy colours in the lead-up to tomorrow’s grand final. Wishing all of our College families a safe and enjoyable school holiday break. See you next term!
