DANCE CLUB / ARTS WEEK Dance Club has been running on Tuesday mornings from 7:15am in the dance studio. We’ve welcomed many enthusiastic new Year 7 students, along with students from across all year levels.

Our Dance Captains, Hailey Krongold and Lucaya Stent, have been busy choreographing and teaching a modern/jazz dance to Just Keep Watching. This piece was performed as part of our Arts Week celebrations at lunchtime on Friday 27 March in the

Year 7 area, and it was wonderful to see so many students involved.

Dance Club is looking forward to performing this dance again for parents at our Semester 1 Performance Evening on Wednesday 27 May.

TOP CLASS / CHUNKY MOVE DANCE WORKSHOP

On Monday 2 March, our Year 10 Dance students, along with VCE Year 11 and Year 12 students, travelled by bus to the studio of the acclaimed contemporary dance company Chunky Move. Students participated in an engaging workshop led by a company member, providing a valuable opportunity to broaden their experience of contemporary dance.

Following a lunch break, students attended the 2026 Top Class concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre, which featured a selection of outstanding solos from the previous year’s Year 12 performance exams.

GREASE – SCHOOL MUSICAL

Many of our dance students have been involved in rehearsals for our school production of Grease since October last year, including rehearsals during Activity Week at the end of the year.

Students have nearly learned all of their dances for the show, choreographed by the Dance teachers at Dromana along with our Dance Captains. We are looking forward to completing a full run-through of Act 1 during the upcoming school holidays, followed by our performance season at the Frankston Arts Centre in June.
