Swimming

Congratulations to all students who competed in the House Swimming Carnival, Division Championships, and most recently, the Regional Championships. For the sixth consecutive year, we are proud to be crowned Southern Peninsula District Champions—an outstanding achievement. A huge well done to every student who took to the pool and contributed to such a successful series of events. Your effort, enthusiasm, and talent continue to impress.

The Regional Championships were held on Monday, 23rd March at Oakleigh Recreation Centre, where we took a team of around 40 enthusiastic and talented swimmers. Despite the event falling on Parent-Teacher Interview Day, it was fantastic to see such strong commitment from our students, who gave up their day off to compete. All swimmers performed exceptionally well, bringing home multiple medals and plenty of smiles.

Out of 51 competing schools, Dromana College placed an incredible 6th overall—an outstanding result that reflects the dedication and skill of our team.

A special mention goes to Gideon Philpott, who won the 50m Butterfly event and has qualified for the State Swimming Championships in April. We wish Gideon the very best of luck for the next stage of the competition.

Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to all students who competed in events at the House Athletics Carnival held in March. The day was a great success and showcased the depth of talent we have here at Dromana College.

The Division Team has now been announced. If you have been selected—either as a competitor or an emergency—this is an outstanding achievement, and you should be very proud of your efforts.

Division Athletics will take place on Tuesday, 12th May. We wish all selected students the very best of luck as they prepare to compete.
