Upcoming Exams
Dear parents and carers,
Students in Years 9 – 11 will be completing various Exams during weeks 7 & 8. Semester Exams provide a great opportunity for students to consolidate their learning over the Semester and test themselves in Exam conditions.
Part of completing Exams involves the process of preparing for them. This includes revision at school but also at home. Implementing suitable and effective study routines and exercises enhances your child’s ability to perform well under pressure in Exam situations. This is an opportunity to refine these processes in preparation for future Examinations that your child may need to complete.
The specific Exam timetable has been posted on your child’s compass page, but the general breakdown is as follows:
Year 9 – Monday June 1st & Tuesday June 2nd (English/ EAL and Mathematics).
Year 10 – Monday June 1st – Thursday June 4th (English/ EAL, Mathematics, Science & Humanities)
Year 11 – Thursday June 4th – Thursday June 11th (various exams based on selected subjects)
Year 9 students will need to remain on site after they have completed their Exam and attend classes as normal.
Year 10 and 11 students will be on-site for their Exams only and will not have classes running. An exception to this is a Year 10 student who may have a Year 11 class or a Year 11 student who may have a Year 12 class on the day of their Exams.
I wish your child good luck on their upcoming Exams.
