Design Technology

Year 10 DT students working on LED DESK LAMP a hands-on STEM project that incorporates the concepts of sustainability and electronics.
The project will enable students to experience the design and manufacture of an end user product.
Year 11 VCE students are currently undertaking an exciting Engineering and Electronics Design Project as part of their VCE requirements. Students are applying their creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills to design and develop electronic projects using a range of electronic components and technologies.
Throughout the project, students engage in the engineering design process, including planning, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating their designs. Projects may include circuits, sensors, microcontrollers, lighting systems, alarms, or other innovative electronic solutions.
This hands-on learning experience allows students to build practical industry skills while developing their understanding of electronics, coding, teamwork, and project management. The project also encourages innovation and critical thinking, preparing students for future pathways in technology, engineering, and related industries.
