The return of the Flanagan Art Prize has sparked significant interest, with more than 200 entries received from artists across Australia. Now, the shortlisting process is underway as our panel of judges carefully reviews each submission.
With a $10,000 main prize and additional awards across three entry categories, the competition is fierce, demonstrating the incredible breadth of artistic talent in Australia. The shortlisted entries will be exhibited and winners announced at a gala opening on Friday, 21 March 2025. The exhibition will run throughout the weekend, offering visitors the chance to view and purchase some outstanding contemporary artworks.
Named in honour of Noel Flanagan AO (SPC 1932-36), a distinguished Old Boy and former Director and Curator of the Australian War Memorial, St Patrick’s College is immensely proud to be playing a vital role in fostering Australian artistic excellence through the Flanagan Art Prize. The winning artwork will be acquired by the College, adding to its impressive and extensive collection.
Media Club students are excited for the club's return next week in the Video and Photography Studio at 1.50pm on Thursday. This short production was the last project to be completed in 2024.
