Highvale Secondary College is proud to celebrate the outstanding sporting achievement of Om J., (Year 7), who recently represented Victoria at the School Sports Australia National Cricket Championship held in Ballarat.

Om was a member of the Victorian team that won the Gold Medal and secured the prestigious Ricky Ponting Shield—formerly known as the Challenge Cup—for the second consecutive year. This is an exceptional accomplishment and a rare feat achieved by very few players at this level.

Throughout the championship, Om played a pivotal role in Victoria’s strong performance. He showed remarkable composure under pressure, especially in tight matches, and consistently demonstrated leadership on the field. His behaviour and commitment reflected the College’s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Excellence, and Integrity, both on and off the field.
