Ancient Egypt History Assignment – Student Model Showcase
Our Year 7 students have been busy bringing the ancient world to life through their recent History assignment on Ancient Egypt. After “graduating” with a top-class History degree in our imaginative task brief, students stepped into the role of newly appointed archaeologists working in Egypt. Their challenge was to create a detailed model of an artefact they had “discovered” on a dig and prepare to present their findings at a mock media conference.
Students produced an impressive range of models inspired by Ancient Egyptian culture — from canopic jars and statues to architectural structures and symbolic objects. Each piece was accompanied by thoughtful explanations about what the artefact could teach modern historians about daily life, belief systems, social hierarchy, and technological innovation in Ancient Egypt.
The creativity and historical understanding on display were outstanding. The accompanying photos highlight just how much care and imagination went into each model. Well done to all students for their enthusiasm and excellent work on this engaging archaeological adventure!
