Round Robin
Ben De Nardis - PE Teacher
Elsternwick Primary School
Winter Round Robin was one for the books, not just for the results, but for the grit and determination shown by our Elsternwick teams. With the temperature hovering around 3 degrees and relentless rain throughout the day, it was anything but ideal sporting weather. Some schools even withdrew from the competition due to the conditions. But not Elsternwick. We turned up – and we turned up to win.
Despite the soggy fields and icy winds, our students pushed through and delivered fantastic performances across all sports:
- Mixed Soccer – 2nd Place
- Mixed Netball – 2nd Place
- Girls Soccer – 2nd Place
- Softball – 2nd Place
- Girls AFL – 2nd Place
- Mixed Netball– 1st Place
- AFL – 1st Place
A huge congratulations to our Mixed Netball (Team 2) and AFL teams who will now advance to the Division round early next term. We wish them the best of luck as they take on the next level of competition!
A big shoutout to every single player who participated today. The weather tested us, but your resilience, teamwork and positive attitude shone through. Well done, Elsternwick – you did us proud.
