As School Captains, we can hardly believe that we are already in our final few terms of schooling, and with Term 2 coming to an end, we have been reflecting on what has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding term for our school community. It has been wonderful to see students continue to involve themselves so actively in school events, leadership opportunities, and the many activities that make our school such a vibrant and welcoming place.
Without a doubt, one of the biggest highlights of this term was our incredible Harmony Day celebrations. Students enjoyed a variety of cultural stalls throughout the day, followed by an amazing after-school festival featuring food trucks, decorations, a photobooth, student performances, and even Antakshri, a game enjoyed widely across South Asia. It was amazing to witness the pride our students had in representing their cultures, with new performances taking place throughout the evening and showcasing the diversity that makes our school community so special. The Student Council and staff are incredibly proud of how successful the event was, and we are so grateful for the positive feedback we received from students, families, and wider community members who participated.
This term also saw excellent involvement from younger student leaders across the school as we held both Junior and Senior Executive Forums, creating opportunities for students to share their voices and help shape future initiatives within our school community. Alongside this, we would like to recognise all students who participated in Winter Interschool Sports and represented our school with great enthusiasm and dedication. It has been fantastic seeing students continue to step up and contribute both inside and outside the classroom.
As School Captains, we were also incredibly privileged this term to meet MP Pauline Richards and receive a tour of Parliament House, where we gained valuable insight into leadership, law-making, and the responsibilities involved in serving the wider community. Experiences like this continue to inspire us as student leaders and remind us of the importance of creating positive change within our own school environment.
Looking ahead to next term, which will be the final term for many of our Year 12 students, we hope to continue supporting one another as we tackle SACs, tests, and begin preparing for final exams. We are also excited for upcoming school events, including 4C’s, as well as fun year-level activities currently being planned for students to enjoy as the year progresses. We wish our entire school community a safe, restful, and joyful holiday break. Stay warm, enjoy the well-deserved time to recharge, and we look forward to seeing everyone back next term for another exciting chapter of the year ahead.
Warm regards,
Your 2026 College Captains
