Last day of Term 2 - Staff v. Students Volleyball Showdown

To wrap up the term, students and staff faced off in a fun-filled Staff vs Students Volleyball Challenge across both lunch breaks. There was plenty of friendly competition, laughter, and school spirit on display as each year level took on the teachers. After some impressive rallies and determined efforts, only one year level managed to defeat the staff - the Year 10s!

Congratulations to our Year 10 champions for claiming bragging rights until the next showdown! Unfortunately Staff were victorious across every other year level

🏅 SSV Sports — Terms 1 & 2 in Review

It has been a phenomenal first half of the year for CESC sport, with students representing the school across a huge range of School Sport Victoria (SSV) events.

  • Term 1 saw our students compete in Cricket, Volleyball, and Tennis across Junior (Year 7), Year 8, Intermediate, and Senior divisions — with over 247 student representations across the term. Highlights included our Volleyball teams going on to represent the school at Regional level, with our Year 7 boys (8 students) competing at Regional Volleyball on 6 May and our Year 8 boys (10 students) at Regional Volleyball on 7 May. Our Senior Tennis team also progressed to Regional level, with 5 students competing on 28 April.

  • Term 2 was even bigger, with students competing in Soccer, AFL, Netball, and Badminton — generating close to 300 student representations across the term, including two popular Gala Day events (Girls AFL and Boys Netball) that saw more than 47 students take part. Congratulations to our year 7 Boys soccer team and our year 8 badminton teams, going on to represent our school at regional level.
