To wrap up the term, students and staff faced off in a fun-filled Staff vs Students Volleyball Challenge across both lunch breaks. There was plenty of friendly competition, laughter, and school spirit on display as each year level took on the teachers. After some impressive rallies and determined efforts, only one year level managed to defeat the staff - the Year 10s!
Congratulations to our Year 10 champions for claiming bragging rights until the next showdown! Unfortunately Staff were victorious across every other year level

Congratulations to Shanaya S in Year 7, our June Athlete of the Month! Her dedication to netball is truly remarkable, consistently demonstrating commitment, determination and a strong work ethic both on and off the court.
Shanaya’s passion for the sport and willingness to put in the hard work make her a fantastic role model for her peers!
Each month at CESC we celebrate students who are making their mark in sport outside of school — whether that's competing for a club or association, representing a regional or state team, or simply showing incredible dedication to their sport week in, week out.

At CESC, we love recognising and celebrating the incredible achievements of our students both in and out of the classroom — and this year we've introduced an exciting new way to do just that.
CESC Sport News is displayed outside the Sports Office and showcases the many sporting successes of our students throughout the year. Has your child won a grand final, been selected for a representative team, received a Best and Fairest or MVP award, or achieved a personal milestone? We want to hear about it.
It has been a phenomenal first half of the year for CESC sport, with students representing the school across a huge range of School Sport Victoria (SSV) events.

A massive congratulations to every student who represented CESC this season — you have made the whole school community proud!
Cross Country season was another outstanding chapter in the CESC sporting calendar this year.
Our school carnival saw students from Years 7–12 compete hard for their house, with Chisholm taking out the 2026 House Cross Country title with an impressive 139 points, ahead of Parkes in second (97 points) and Florey in third (71 points).

From there, 62 students represented CESC at Division Cross Country, with 24 of those students then earning selection to progress to the Regional Cross Country Championships on 9 June — a fantastic result.

The competition was fierce at Regional level, but our athletes rose to the occasion, with one Jacob Impey (year 9) progressing all the way through to the State Cross Country Championships on 16 June — an incredible achievement the whole school community can be proud of.
A massive congratulations to every student who laced up and competed this season — from the school carnival right through to State level, you have made the whole CESC community proud! 🏃
Our swimmers had a tremendous start to the year, with students representing CESC at the Regional Swimming Championship on 23 March — 7 students competing at Regional level, with Nayo Niranjan going on to represent CESC at the State Swimming Championships on 16 June. An outstanding achievement.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who represented the school with such pride this season! 🏊
