Ms Stirling and Mr Jones
Our production students have been hard at work this term in rehearsals - our onstage cast are working hard practising their singing, dancing and acting and have been producing some stand out work (will we say our best show yet? You'll have to come see to find out.)
Our crew being involved in costuming, set and prop design, our orchestra hard at work learning all the music and the Hand on Learning team building our sets, featuring an amazing ship. We have so many students involved in many aspects of this to bring this amazing show together.
The final week of this term we said goodbye to our amazing Co-Director Stephanie Dimitriou as she heads off into Maternity leave, we will miss her knowledge, wisdom and support but she will stay with us in spirit to put on a wonderful show for her and the audiences.
Keep an eye out early next term for tickets!
Early term 2 our music team took 21 students to Mt Gambier in South Australia to attend and compete in Generations in Jazz Festival - This festival sees thousands of students across Australia and Overseas attend. The year the festival featured the headline act from Tower of Power. This event inspired our students greatly being able to witness students their age performing at many different levels, attending workshops with industry professionals. We are extremely proud of their efforts in this event.
On June 14th we hosted the Cranbourne Lions Band Concert where local concert bands came to perform individual sets, and combined to work together on a brand new piece to perform as one mass band. CESC's Senior Concert Band was included in this event and took their performance skills to a new height.
The Music team is also excited to announce our Mid Year Soiree on 28th July - More information and tickets available early next term.
Classes 7A-7G spent the 10th and 11th of June performing A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare for 150 students from Cranbourne East Primary School.
Drama teachers - Stephanie Dimitriou and Kirby Hunt - couldn’t be prouder of their performances! Every student pushed themselves out of their comfort zone, stayed focused, worked as a team, and gave their best to deliver a fantastic, cohesive show.
If your child enjoyed performing in A Midsummer Night's Dream, we strongly encourage them to consider performing opportunities in 2027 (School Musical, Victorian State School Spectacular, Instrumental Music, Harmony Day Performances, 4Cs and more!). These opportunities allow students to express their creativity, strengthen their public speaking skills and develop their confidence.
We can't wait for the next round of performances for 7H-7M in Term 4!
