Physical Education and 3-6 SSA Sport
Students have begun the year with some warm conditions for Physical Education, but none the less have done a great job and I have been impressed with them trying their best.
Foundation & Grade 1/2 students have begun the year learning some new 'inclusive games'. These have provided children with not only a chance to move their bodies, but also to be immersed in opportunities to do so collaboratively, with classmates - whole setting up class routines and establishing new friendships.
Grade 3/4 & 5/6 have been working hard in PE, with some fitness testing to help prepare for SSA Cross Country. Top 10 boys and girls for each age group will be selected to represent the school, with teams being finalised in the next two weeks to allow sufficient time for training to occur.
There's plenty of other SSA opportunities taking place for our middle and senior school students this term:
Last but not lease, congratulations to our SSA Tennis Team who competed last Thursday. From all reports Patrick Christensen, Sullivan Kahle, Georgia Menzies and Hudson Newling represented the school with great pride. A special mention to Georgia for finishing 1st place in her division and for Patrick who fought hard for 2nd place in his division. Many thanks to Julia Menzies for volunteering to supervise the students on the day.
