Wellbeing/Inclusion

Respectful, Responsible and Exceptional

At Moriac Primary School, we recognise that student wellbeing is the foundation for successful learning and growth. Our commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment ensures that every child feels safe, valued, and ready to engage in their learning. Through a range of initiatives, we prioritise social and emotional development, equipping students with the tools they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

One of our key wellbeing initiatives is the Zones of Regulation framework, which helps students develop self-awareness and emotional regulation skills. We also incorporate the Berry Street Education Model, which provides strategies to enhance resilience, emotional intelligence, and engagement in learning. By focusing on strong relationships, predictable routines, and strength-based approaches, we create an environment where students feel secure and supported.

A much-loved part of our school’s wellbeing focus is our Wellbeing Hub, a dedicated space that provides students with an opportunity to engage in passive play during lunchtime.
