Year 6 News

Dear Families,

Welcome to Term 2, as we leave Easter and the school holidays behind us and a long weekend commemorating Anzac Day. As we embrace the autumn months ahead with some cooler weather, please have your childs’ jumpers and jackets named so we can have these returned, should they go missing around the school.

Well done to those students who participated in the district cross country and the school athletics in week 2.

This term students are investigating Australia’s history of immigration. On Tuesday this week, we had the opportunity to attend the immigration museum in the city. All students who attended were able to take something away from the day and has really sparked the interest of students for what we will focus on for the remainder of Term 2.

Well done to the students for keeping our school grounds tidy and demonstrating respect by putting their rubbish either in the classroom bins or using the bins located near the canteen; keep up the great work by reflecting our school values.

Congratulations to those students who received excellence certificates to start Term 2, keep being role models, as we know the rest of the school looks up to the students in Grade 6!
