Year 2 News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 2! We've had a fantastic start, with students diving into learning with great enthusiasm. In Maths, we've been exploring length using informal units like blocks and footsteps, measuring all around the school. In English, students have been reading books by Peter Carnavas and are now creating their own imaginative texts inspired by his work. They’re excited to share these with you soon!

Next, we’ll be investigating mass and capacity, using hands-on resources to connect measurement to real-life situations. We’re also looking forward to our excursion to the aquarium in Week 6, which will support both our Science and English learning.

Thank you for your continued support—we’re excited for the term ahead!
