Physical Education on Heights Campus

Foundation Learning Centre
It has been an amazing start to the year for the Foundation Learning Centre in Physical Education. The students have been building their confidence and fundamental movement skills through a variety of fun and engaging activities. Students have been introduced to using equipment responsibly and following instructions carefully to ensure everyone stays safe and included. They have enjoyed participating in whole class games such as Duck, Duck, Goose, where they practised teamwork, listening skills, and good sportsmanship.
Junior Learning Centre:
The Junior Learning Centre have focused on participating actively and always trying their best during lessons. They have developed their confidence and resilience by challenging themselves in a range of movement activities. A key focus has been improving their running skills through fun "tag-games" such as Octopus, where students practised changing direction, speed, and spatial awareness. They have also learnt about the techniques and movements required in a number of athletics events, including hurdles and circular relay.
Middle and Senior Learning Centre
In the Middle Learning Centre and Senior Learning Centre, students have focused on developing their skills and techniques across a range of athletics events. They have been practising key track and field activities such as sprinting, tiple jump, long jump, and shot put, with an emphasis on correct technique and personal improvement. They have also engaged in whole class games to develop a community of participation and encouragement. Throughout these sessions, they have demonstrated teamwork, perseverance, and a commitment to doing their best.
