Student Voice Heights Campus
Foundation Family Fun Day on Heights Campus occurred on Friday the 27th of February. The Foundation students had such a fun-filled morning, enjoying time with their school friends and families. Felix the Magician had mind blowing tricks to show and everyone had a chance to participate in the fun! The Foundation students also found the drumming session spectacular and got the opportunity to play along and dance to the drums. Both parents and students had a delicious morning tea with fun games and a lovely picnic. What an exciting day!
In Weeks 7 and 8, the Grade 3 and 5 students will be taking part in Naplan. All students have been working hard and giving their best efforts to prepare themselves for Writing, Reading, Language Conventions and Mathematics. The MLC and SLC students have been doing such a great job!
Every Friday in the middle block of learning, a few of the Grade 4’s and all the SLC students have been training for our upcoming school event, Athletics. We try to make sure that every student in the SLC has a chance to take part in every event such as long jump, triple jump and more! Every student has been trying out for each athletics event and it is so amazing to see how sporty they are and how much talent they have!
On Tuesday the 3rd of March Heights Campus celebrated Clean up Australia Day. All students from FLC, JLC, MLC and SLC came together to clean up our school and make it nice and presentable. It’s so awesome to see everyone help clean up and engage in such an important day. Thanks to our amazing students and teachers, our school is now cleaner than ever! We hope everyone joins in to make our school have a better and cleaner environment.
Last week our amazing Lunchtime Clubs started! This is a time where students from all year levels can go and participate in something they enjoy for one half of lunch. On Mondays we have Art & Chill Club with Mrs Zarac and Lego Club with Mr Coad. On Tuesdays we have Reading Club with Mrs O’Bryan and we also have SLC Training with Mrs Miranda. On Wednesdays we have FLC Bayblades with Mrs George, JLC Soccer Club with Mr Roberts and we have SLC Interschool Training with Mrs McMahon. On Thursday we have a Drawing & Colouring Club with Miss Tat and we have a JLC/MLC Dance Club with Mrs Stubbings. Lastly on Fridays we have Yoga with Mrs Bertrand and we have an SLC Crocheting Club with Ms Beagley. Let lunchtime be better than ever and let it be more fun!
Every fortnight, an assembly is held in the hall and run by our new 2026 school leaders. This is where we share wonderful information about the school's upcoming important reminders or events. We also give out awards to a particular student from each home group for showing our school values and showing good behaviour in class. All parents are welcome to the assembly at 3:00pm to see the fabulous ways on how we run our school assemblies.
