Highlights from Heights
Our Foundation Family Fun Day was a great success and ran very smoothly. Students were absolutely delighted by Felix the Magician’s entertaining magic show, which had plenty of laughs and moments of amazement. The group activities and energetic drumming session faciltated by our amazing African drummer were a real highlight, with everyone moving, clapping and drumming along to the beat. It was also lovely to see our families coming together, socialising, and enjoying time together during the picnic. Events like these help strengthen the strong sense of community we value so highly at Springvale Rise Primary School.
AusKick continues to be a fantastic success, with many students from across the school getting involved. It has been wonderful to see students developing their skills, building confidence and, most importantly, having fun while staying active. There is a great buzz each week as students practise kicking, handballing and teamwork.
This week we also took part in Clean Up Australia Day. Through Environmental Science lessons, students learned about the importance of caring for our environment and the role we all play in keeping it clean. Students then participated in a whole-school rubbish pick-up, working collaboratively to make a positive difference. Our school grounds are now looking fantastic, and we encourage students to continue showing our school values of Respect and Collaboration by using bins and taking pride in keeping our environment clean every day.
