The Resource Centre has had a busy first term. We have welcomed 80 classes into the library for library orientation, reading classes and silent reading sessions. Around 290 students year 7 and 8 students have completed their star reading tests.
We also had lots of displays and activities where we celebrated important events such as: Lunar New Year, St. Patrick’s Day, Harmony Day and Maths Week. Students are being encouraged to write book reviews and hand them in so they can inspire others and we have recruited our Library Leaders for this year.
This term we introduced 112 new books into the library and issued a total of 1756 books. The most popular genre this term was Graphic Novel with 470 issues.
