Food Tech

Our Year 10 students have been busy developing their cooking skills, preparing homemade spaghetti and meatballs as well as a warm chicken and bacon salad. These dishes gave students the opportunity to practise a range of techniques including preparing proteins, balancing flavours and presenting a complete meal.

 

Meanwhile, our Year 8 students have been working on their pastry skills, making their own sausage rolls. From preparing the filling to rolling and baking the pastry, students enjoyed learning the process of creating this classic favourite from scratch.

 

It has been great to see students building confidence in the kitchen while creating some very tasty meals along the way!
