Student Supervision Reminder

We would like to remind families that formal student supervision is provided each school day from 8:15am to 3:35pm. During this time, staff actively supervise key areas to support the safety and wellbeing of all students.

Outside of these hours, school grounds are not supervised. For this reason, students should not arrive before 8:15am unless they are participating in a supervised school activity.

  • Before school - Students who arrive early are to wait in the outside Chapel until supervision begins at 8:15am.

  • After school - Students waiting to be collected must remain outside in front of the Administration Building. Please note that all playgrounds are out of bounds after school (excluding students attending OOSH).

If you have any questions about supervision arrangements, please contact the school office.

Supporting Student Health

As we move into the winter period, we anticipate an increase in students arriving at school unwell or becoming unwell throughout the day. To maintain a healthy environment for all, we are unable to keep children onsite if they are in the infectious phase of their illness, as this significantly increases the risk of illness spreading through classrooms and the wider school community.

When contacted, parents and guardians are expected to arrange collection of their child within a reasonable timeframe. We understand the challenges of balancing work and family commitments; however, we are not able to accommodate unwell students in classrooms or other school spaces. This expectation supports the wellbeing of all students and staff at the College.

We appreciate your cooperation and ongoing support.

Martins Buses – Update to Bus Service S859

Martins Albury has received approval from Transport for NSW to extend school bus service S859 through the Brooklyn Fields Estate in Thurgoona.

This change has been made to improve student safety and accessibility. Currently, students board and disembark along Table Top Road near the estate entrance, often requiring them to cross the road where there are no designated safe crossing points. The new route will provide a safer and more convenient option for families using this service.

The revised route is scheduled to commence on Monday 29 June, during the final week of Term 2. This timing will allow Martins Albury to monitor student movements at the new stops and make any necessary adjustments during the semester break.

While some schools may experience slightly earlier student arrival times, no schools will have later arrival times than they currently do. Updated timetables and route information will be published on the Martins Albury website shortly.
