Author Visits

We continued with our author engagement throughout the past two weeks with our year 5 and 6 students participating in a virtual author talk from the highly decorated, award-winning Tristan Bancks.

This talk was delivered slightly differently, with a pre-recorded session from Tristan specifically for our students at Trinity. Our students were able to send through questions prior to, for Tristan to answer during his talk. Tristan walked our students through his writing process and what has inspired his ideas for new books, which often included a real-life experience!

Our school library holds Tristan’s novels including the ‘Tom Weekly’ series and those that are written for a slightly older age group including Two Wolves, The Fall, Detention, Cop & Robber and Scar Town. Following Tristan’s talk, his books have been flying off the shelves and now all have a wait list of students desperate to read them!
