Term 2 Inter School Sport Results:
Wow! What a Term of Sport we have had - there has been that much we thought one big post at the end would do the trick. This term saw WPSC compete in a variety of different sports across all year levels, with the senior students completing all their sport this term to prepare for exams in term 3!This term, we had a total of 35 teams go out and represent the college proudly as well as Individual Efforts as well. A big thank you to all the students who participated, filled in for year levels above, tried a sport they had never done before, the staff who made their participation possible by coaching them and also the supportive parents of all students who were able to come and watch a variety of different events.
TERM 3 shapes up to be another big term with our year 7-10's competing in Basketball, Table Tennis, Hockey and Futsal - training has already begun in search for more pennants.

Cross Country 🏃♀️ 41 of our students competed in the District Competition at the Hastings Foreshore with 7 of our students making it through to the Regional Stage. On Tuesday, Mr Henaghen accompanied these students who ran exceptionally well on a very hard course as Ballam Park against some very tough Competition.
Athletics 🥏🏃After a Successful House carnival, 63 students attended the district event Earlier in the Term. 10 of these students qualified to the next stage of regionals held in October - some in multiple events, Well Done!
Swimming 🏊♀️ Big shout out to Ben and Daniel Collins who both made Regional Finals in a combined 9 events! WPSC finished 17th out of 60 schools!!
Daniel Collins Qualified for the State Championships, finishing 3rd and 2nd in freestyle and backstroke - beating his PB if you don’t mind!⏰

Congratulations to Mr Gillespie who this term really took on the challenge of following our Mobile Phone Policy...17 phones collected in one day of teaching! We encourage parents/carers to continue the conversation at home around phones remaining in lockers after the Home Group bell as per the Ministerial Order and WPSC Mobile Phone Policy - thank you in advance.
