👋🏻WELCOME BACK!

I cannot believe it's Term 3! It feels just like yesterday I was saying hello and welcoming families back to school ready to tackle Term 1 - now here we are!

Term 3 is one of my very favourite times of the school year! It's the term where, all of a sudden, things just start clicking for students. They start making connections between concepts, some have huge growth spurts, and others begin to realise that their hard work for the first half of the year is starting to really pay off. It's also a very busy term, with lots of exciting events and things happening around the school community. In saying that, let's have a little reflect on how we finished off Term 2...

🤖ROBOT BUDDIES🤖

At the end of Term 2, we celebrated the conclusion of our Integrated Studies unit 'Robot Buddies' with an expo showcasing our learning. Please enjoy the photos below of all of our Robot Buddies on display!

🏊🏻SWIM/GYM💪🏻

This term, the Year 1 students will be attending their Swim/Gym program on the following dates:

  • Friday 24th July

  • Friday 31st July

  • Friday 7th August

  • Friday 14th August

  • Friday 21st August

Students will need to wear their swimmers underneath their school uniform on these days, and bring a towel and goggles (if using) in a plastic bag for their wet things to go into after the swim session.

We are on the lookout for some parent volunteers to drive 2-3 students to Wendouree to attend the Swim/Gym program. If you are able to help on the 24th July, 31st July or 21st August, please let me know and I can add you to the list!

Year 2 students will have their swimming program in Term 4, so on the Fridays where Swim/Gym is happening, Year 2s will remain at school to participate in the learning program happening here.

🥲GOODBYE (FOR NOW) MISS GALE👋🏻

As you may have noticed, we are missing someone very special from our Beaufort Primary School teaching community.

At the very last minute in the last week of Term 2, Miss Gale was appointed to a teaching position at Newington Primary School, to help out their Prep class who needed a teacher! Luckily, 1/2A already had another equally wonderful teacher, so Miss Gale very kindly jumped on board to help out another school in need. Hopefully it's not the last we will see of Miss Gale! 🥰
