Reading Around Australia Challenge!

Starting Monday 27 July

We are excited to launch Reading Around Australia, our whole-school reading challenge leading up to Book Week!

Over the four weeks leading up to Book Week, every minute students read will help Beaufort Primary School travel around Australia. Together, we'll follow our Beaufort Book Bus as it visits famous Australian landmarks, with weekly progress updates shared at school.

Each student will receive a weekly reading log to take home. We encourage students to aim to read at least five times each week—but remember, every minute counts!

How families can support the challenge:

• Encourage your child to read at least five times each week.

• Record the book title and minutes read after each reading session.

• Initial the reading log.

• Return the completed reading log to school each Friday.

Reading can include books, magazines, comics, shared reading, or being read to. The goal is simply to make reading a regular and enjoyable part of each week.

We can't wait to see how far Beaufort Primary can travel around Australia through the power of reading.
