Amy Doak is a lifelong lover of books, reading and writing. Her debut YA crime novel Eleanor Jones Is Not A Murderer was released in September 2023 and the sequel Eleanor Jones Can’t Keep A Secret was released in July 2024. Amy has two more YA mysteries coming in 2025.
Eleanor Jones Is Not A Murderer won the 2024 Davitt Award for Best Crime Novel for YA Readers; was a CBCA 2024 notable; and was shortlisted for both the 2024 ABIA Award Book of the Year for Older Readers, and for the 2024 Davitt Awards Best Debut Crime Novel.
Amy has written for many years, working as a freelance writer, and also publishing multiple non-fiction titles. She has also worked in marketing and media (radio, television, magazines) and continues to consult in these fields – particularly with those seeking to publish. Enjoying an enduring passion for reading, Amy loves to encourage others to foster a joy of story in all forms.








During term 3 our Digital Ambassadors met with Kristina from the Optus Digital Thumbprint program. She was running workshops around the ways in which AI can be used to target your personal data and ways to report issues and keep yourself safe online. Chelsea D Year 8


Our Digital Ambassadors also entered the Behind the News “Passion Project” competition. Fingers crossed they are selected, and we see them on the show soon.
