Volunteering at Sacred Heart
There are some great ways for parents to be involved at our school. Volunteers are integral to the school experience for our students, and they provide an important link to the community.
Some of the ways our school use Volunteers include:
- Coaching school sports teams
- Helping during excursions
- Support at our school sports days and other school activities
- Parents & Friends activities (Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Stalls)
Helping in the classroom
The Child Safe Standards require schools to gather, verify and record a person’s history of work involving children. Volunteers are required to list their entire work history, including any volunteer work involving children.
If you are interested in volunteering during the year, we kindly request that you complete the necessary Volunteer Registration form in advance. This will help save time when volunteering opportunities arise.
To assist our school in meeting the Child Safe Standards, could you please complete the Volunteer Registration form that has been emailed to all PAM account holders.
Student Absences
We sincerely appreciate your support in entering your child’s absences into PAM. Your cooperation assists us greatly in maintaining accurate attendance records.
To ensure we continue to meet our Child Safe Standards and Duty of Care obligations, we kindly ask that parents and carers enter absences in PAM for full-day absences ONLY.
If your child is arriving late to school a responsible adult must accompany the child to the office to sign them in upon arrival. Our office staff will mark their late entry upon their arrival.
If your child needs to leave school early, you are welcome to email or phone the school beforehand, and we will make every effort to have your child ready and waiting in the office when you arrive. A responsible adult must sign the child out at the office at the time of collection.
This process is essential to ensure all students are accurately accounted for during the school day.
We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students.
