Faith and Religion

"For we are are God's Masterpiece..." (Eph 2:10) .
Catholic Education Week:15-22nd March
“Christ beside me: Walking in the footsteps of Saint Patrick”.
This year’s theme celebrates the significance of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of our local Church in Melbourne. Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, our mother Church, is named after the saint of Ireland.
Catholic education strives to make a difference in the lives of those in our schools and in the wider community by challenging young people to live out the message of Jesus and walk the way of the gospel to reach their full potential as compassionate, contributing, life-giving members of society.
Our Faith and Justice Team will be headed to St Patrick's Cathedral on Fri 20th for a special St Patrick's Day Mass. They will join students from all across the Melbourne Archdiocese.
St Patrick's Day: Tues 17th March
Project Compassion
The Project Compassion theme for 2026 is "Unite Against Poverty".
Children are encouraged to bring in small change to place in their "Project Compassion" donation box in their classroom.
Holy Week
As part of our Holy Week activities we will be having a time of reflection on the events of Holy Week. Mon March 3oth at 9am. More details to come.
Sacraments
This year we will be celebrating the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion (Eucharist). First Reconciliation is for Gr 3 students and First Holy Communion for Gr 4 students. Confirmation takes place every second year and will be offered again in 2027.
The above sacraments are offered to those children who have been baptised and want to continue in their faith journey.
However if your child is not baptised and is interested in the sacraments, you are welcome to speak with me in person, send me an email or contact the school or parish office.
