Year 5/6 News 

Discovery Centre Excursion

Last week students travelled to the Discovery Centre in Bendigo as part of their Space Unit they have been working on this term. Students visited the Planetarium to learn more about the Solar System, the Moon's cycle and the constellations. 

Part of the excursion also involved going on the vertical slide for a bit of fun and to help the students challenge themselves and to test their courage.

Biographies

Students have been working on researching, drafting and publishing biographies on a person of their choice. Some of the biographies are on footballers, basketballers, jockeys, singers, notable people and family members. After publishing their biographies, students presented their work to the class so we can all learn more about the many people researched during this unit.
