Senior Learning Community

Congratulations, SLC, on a wonderful start to the term. It has been fantastic to see all your smiling faces.

Last week, our Year 6 students attended the ANZAC Service at Cobram Secondary College. It was wonderful to see them demonstrate such respect and leadership throughout the event.

Yesterday, our four school captains represented St Joseph’s at the ANZAC Service at Cobram Regional Care. They again displayed strong leadership qualities and represented our school with pride and maturity.

This week, we held our Cross-Country event, and it was pleasing to see students not only participating enthusiastically but also supporting and encouraging the younger students. Your actions reflected strong leadership and community spirit.

We also had our Shepparton Division trials this week. It was great to see so many students stepping up and giving it their best.

A reminder of the importance of reading at home. Consistent nightly reading is essential for developing fluency and building effective homework habits, particularly as students prepare for the transition to high school.

Grade 5 Specialist:

Students in Grade 5 will be beginning construction on their Solar Oven Designs this week. We have some materials here at school but if students would like to start bringing in materials to assist in their building, it would be greatly appreciated. Examples could be a cardboard box, foil, cling wrap, felt.
