Acting Principal's Message

Ambitiously Sandhurst

On Monday 20th April all staff took part in a whole day professional development titled 'Ambitiously Sandhurst'. This day reflected our shared commitment to evidence-informed practice and ambitious learning for every student. Staff engaged in high-quality professional learning, enriched by keynote contributions from Dr Jared Cooney Horvath, Dr Nathaniel Swain, and the Teach Well team. This important work supports our ongoing focus on providing the very best learning opportunities and outcomes for all students.

ANZAC Day Commemoration Services

On ANZAC Day, the community of St. Joseph’s paused to honour the courage, sacrifice and service of the ANZACs. We gave thanks for those who served our nation in the past, and acknowledged with deep gratitude those who continue to protect and keep our country safe today.

A sincere thank you to the students and families who represented our school community at the ANZAC Commemoration Services on Saturday, whether at the Dawn Service, the March or the 9am Service. It was heartwarming to see our young Australians standing in solidarity to honour the brave soldiers who fought so gallantly for the freedoms we enjoy today. Your presence reflected a deep respect for their legacy and the spirit of remembrance within our community.

Guided by our Mercy values, we are reminded to live with compassion, respect and service; standing together in solidarity with others, seeking peace, and acting with courage in our everyday lives. May we always remember the legacy of the ANZACs and continue to strive for a world of justice, kindness and hope.
