Respectful, Responsible and Exceptional

School Wide - Moriac Star Program

Our SWPBS rewards program continues to promote and celebrate positive behaviour across our school community. This Term, we have a strong focus on transitions, including lining up, exiting classrooms, and moving calmly and safely from one learning space to another. Through our blue, silver and gold star system, students are recognised for demonstrating our school values and meeting behaviour expectations.

By explicitly teaching, modelling and reinforcing positive behaviours, we aim to create a consistent, respectful and productive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Each time a student earns a star, their name is entered into a raffle draw, giving them ongoing opportunities to be recognised. Along the way, students may also receive small prizes as encouragement and reinforcement. At the end of each term, raffle winners will be drawn at the final assembly, with students having the chance to win a movie voucher. This structure helps maintain motivation throughout the term while celebrating students who consistently demonstrate our school values.

Engaged Play

Engaging in supported-focused play activities can significantly contribute to children's overall development. Our staff are dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive space where children can thrive and build meaningful connections with their peers.

Engaged Play activities are available for all students and are occurring from 2:00-2:15 each day. Activities range from Lego, chalk drawing to Football and Netball games.

EiPulse Wellbeing Check-In (3-6 students)

This week, we commenced out EiPulse Wellbeing Check-ins for out 3-6 students.  This program has proven over the past few years to be a very successful and is well liked strategy for our students to both express their feelings, but also reach out for help if needed.

Please see the link below to view a short video explaining this program further.
