Year 5/6 News

Literacy – Lions Club Public Speaking
We are incredibly proud of all our Grade 5/6 students for the effort, preparation and confidence they demonstrated while writing, rehearsing and presenting their Lions Club speeches. Public speaking can be challenging, and every student should be commended for the courage they showed in presenting their ideas to an audience.
Congratulations to Cydie, Gabi, Zaine, Mitch and Davey, who were selected as finalists and presented their speeches to our local Lions Club members. They represented our school exceptionally well, showcasing strong speaking skills, thoughtful preparation and confidence in front of an audience.
Boys Footy
Our Grade 4, 5 and 6 boys recently travelled to Moama to compete in the interschool footy competition. The boys represented our school with great sportsmanship, teamwork and determination throughout the day. They demonstrated excellent effort in every game, supported one another on and off the field, and should be proud of the way they conducted themselves. It was a wonderful opportunity to develop their skills, build friendships and enjoy the experience of competing against other schools.
As the term comes to a close, we would like to wish you and your family a happy, relaxing and safe holiday. Thank you for your support throughout the term. We hope you enjoy this special time together and return refreshed and ready for the exciting term ahead.
Best wishes,
Chris, Trish and Tracey.
