 Year 3/4 News

Literacy

We are incredibly proud of all our Grade 3/4 students for the effort they put into writing, rehearsing and presenting their Lions Club speeches. Speaking in front of an audience takes courage, and every student should be congratulated for stepping up and sharing their ideas so confidently.

A special congratulations to Billy L, Wyatt A, Rylee N, Teddie C and Charlie E, who were selected to present their speeches to members of our local Lions Club.

Congratulations also to Billy L, who was announced as the overall winner, and Teddie C, who was named runner-up. Billy will now go on to compete against students from other schools across the region.

We wish Billy the very best of luck in the next stage of the competition and know he will represent our school with pride.

Resilience Project

This term, we have continued our Resilience Project lessons, focusing on the key concepts of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness, and Emotional Literacy. Over the past few weeks, students have been designing, creating, and playing their own gratitude-themed board games. They were provided with a variety of questions about gratitude to include in their games, prompting reflection on different aspects of this important value. Working in groups, students were guided to notice and express positive qualities about their peers, fostering both collaboration and appreciation.
