EXCEL Students Shine in the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee

Congratulations to our outstanding Year 7 and 8 EXCEL students who participated in this year’s Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee. The competition provided students with an exciting opportunity to challenge themselves, expand their vocabulary and demonstrate their impressive spelling skills against students from across Victoria.

We are incredibly proud to announce that 11 of our students progressed through to the State Finals, representing an outstanding achievement and a testament to their commitment, determination and love of language.

A special congratulations goes to Jasmine G and Ryder C (8E), who were crowned the 2026 Class and School Champions. Their achievement reflects not only their exceptional spelling ability, but also the preparation, perseverance and confidence they demonstrated throughout the competition.

The Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee encourages students to develop their vocabulary, language knowledge and confidence while celebrating the joy of words. Our EXCEL students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and demonstrated an impressive willingness to push themselves beyond the classroom.

We congratulate all 11 students who reached the State Finals and commend every student who participated in the competition.
