VCE-VM: Applied Learning in Action

It has been another busy and rewarding term for Mullauna’s VCE-VM students. Year 11 students attended a careers expo, participated in public speaking and conflict resolution workshops, and developed their employability skills through mock interviews.

Year 12 students completed a range of community projects, including collecting food donations, running a sausage sizzle for Foodbank Victoria, delivering anti-vaping talks, planting at Yarran Dheran, creating a mural promoting the protection of native birds and organising sporting events to raise awareness of youth health issues.

The term was topped off by our Year 11 VCE-VM students running a fantastic whole-school R U OK? Day celebration, raising more than $800.

We now farewell our Year 12 students as they begin the next stage of their career pathways. The VCE-VM application process for 2027 was also completed this term, with exciting opportunities already emerging for our Year 10 students. Some have already secured school-based apprenticeships and structured workplace learning placements.

The enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment shown by our VCE-VM students have been outstanding, and it has been wonderful to see applied learning in action across our school and the wider community.
