Respect, Character & Team
On Thursday the 10th of August, it was a historical day for our school. As a number of our students ranging from year 8 to 10 participated in the Under 16 Cameron Munster Shield tournament for the region, which was the first time in our schools history. Our school displayed great courage and determination to compete to the very last minute of each game with a number of students playing the sport at a competitive level for the first time. We showed great character and spirit battling through all three games coming away with an outstanding win and two narrow losses. A special highlight of the day was Daniel Moananu displaying his rugby knowledge as he coached alongside our teachers. Respect was not only displayed within our team and coaching staff, but was also passed onto other teams as the community showed great spirit regardless of the results of the matches. We will be back next year, ready to compete, better than ever, GO LALOR NORTH!
Our year 7 soccer squad embarked on their first journey as a team representing our school in the regions soccer tournament for year 7. They fought hard all day and showed grit and determination with the highlight of the day being an amazing solo effort by Connor Rowe running from the halfway line to score an incredible goal. The team showed great character and support for one another and despite not advancing to the next room we are confident that they will achieve success in the future tournaments, amazing work!
