Year 11

On Thursday 2 September the Year 11 cohort came together to celebrate a lockdown sleepover themed trivia night! Organised by the year level Leadership Team, the Year 11 students and their Homeroom teachers answered a lot of challenging questions in a VERY competitive Kahoot! Quiz, fighting their way through different rounds including nostalgia, sports, movies, TV shows, music, Olympics/Paralympics, general knowledge and more! 

The ‘fan favourite teacher question’ round proved to be an exciting and funny time on the night, when we were given questions relating to our very own Year 11 Homeroom teachers! This revealed many interesting facts, hilarious stories and so many things we didn’t know about our teachers. We all found this very entertaining! 

It was so awesome to see so many students come along in their oodies and pjs with their cup of tea and join in the fun alongside all our Homeroom teachers, our amazing host Ms Dempster and our special guests, Ms Flynn and Ms Smyth!

A big congratulations to our winners on the night. In third place came Siorcha Creaton accompanied by her sister. Second place was Tara Parkinson. And in first place was Erin Carroll. These three girls will be rewarded for their awesome efforts with a prize when we return to school onsite.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who took part in making sure that the night ran smoothly, particularly our Year Level Leaders, Alice Merchant, Lakmi Dabare, Amy Goodchild, Shannen Carty, Maddi Torpey, Alexia Ritzert, Madi Gatt and Katrien Girvan, as well as Ms Dempster, Ms Wallace and Ms Callaghan who helped us out in our meetings leading up to the night.

Finally, just a little message from the both of us. We hope you all have a wonderful, well deserved holiday break, take some time for yourself, spend time with your family and friends, enjoy some sunshine and prepare yourself for another fun filled term!
