Library

During Book Week, we held a Kahoot! Quiz to test our knowledge of children’s and young adults’ literature. We had around 50 people attend, and it was lots of fun! Congratulations to Mary Tobin on winning and Ellie Carter for winning ‘Best Dressed’. Thank you to the staff who attended, B1, Anne of Green Gables and the two masked Vikings. Also, a big thank you to Di Saugy who took lots of photos and supported me along the way.

We will be celebrating our own Book Week date in Term 4 with lots more fun activities.

The borrowing of eBooks and particularly audiobooks has again increased over the past month. It’s great to see our students using this resource and many have given feedback that they are enjoying this experience. Don’t forget that your community library also has many resources to offer.

With the holidays fast approaching, it’s a perfect time to encourage your children to take time out to read. Try a new genre, author, series or pull an old favourite off the shelf and get lost in another world. As JK Rowling said: “If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.” Reach out to your friendly librarians and we can help.

Happy Reading
